Rock pool at Ayers Rock
Formed over 600 million years ago, the famous icons of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) are awe inspiring as they rise from the sands of Australia's Red Desert.
Equally impressive are the natural wonders of Kings Canyon, the magnificent Macdonnell Ranges and Palm Valley where you can escape the heat in one of the cool watering holes. Don't forget 'a town like Alice' - a thriving outback community with lots of interesting local characters!
