Rainforest and Mission Beach Selfdrive Itinerary
Self Drive Itinerary
Day 1. Cairns to Yungaburra.
Approx. 69km (43 miles) 1 hour.
Collect your car and travel south towards the Atherton Tablelands. Winding roads lead to Australia's widest waterfall, Millstream Falls and the deep blue waters of extinct volcano crater lakes, Lake Barrine and Lake Eacham.

Day 2. Atherton Tablelands to Mission Beach.
Approx. 156km (98 miles) 2 hours.
This morning drive to the spectacular Millaa Millaa Falls. Continue on through Wooroonooran National Park to Innisfail the gateway to this sugar cane farming district. Continue directly to Mission Beach or stop at Paranella Park to see a hidden Spanish castle. Arrive at Beautiful Mission Beach, with its national parks and 14kms of deserted golden sandy beaches.
(M) Eco Village/ (F) Horizons at Mission Beach (3 Nights).
Day 3. & 4. Mission Beach.
A full day to relax and explore Mission Beach. There are many walking tracks to explore in the national parks surrounding Mission Beach. Another day to relax or take a daytrip to Dunk, Hinchinbrook or Bedarra Islands.
Day 5. Depart Mission Beach.
Approx. 139km (87 miles) 2 hours.
This morning at leisure before driving back to Cairns and dropping off your rental vehicle.
