Sat. 16 June:  Arrive in Seoul: Arrive at Incheon International Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel by the airport limousine bus. The rest of day is free at your leisure time.

Established by the founder of Joseon Dynasty in 1392, Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea has a population of more than 12,000,000 people. Seoul is a city of the incredible contrasts which, despite its immense size, make it one of the most fascinating cities in the world.. In Seoul, the new and the ancient co-exist in the perfect harmony for everyone to enjoy.

Sun 17 June: Korean Folk Village: The Korean Folk Village is a showplace of the Korea's traditional folklore customs and ways of living. Located near Suwon City, 40 km to the south of Seoul, the village was opened in 1974 and comprises approximately two hundred and thirty structures, each representing the traditional customs and manners. In these structures, the visitors witness the unique scenes of people in the ancient costumes living and working in exactly the same manners as in the past before the country came under the western influence. BL

Mon 18 June: Seoul City Touring: Today is a city tour of Seoul, including Gyeongbok Palace, Folklore Museum of Korea Secret Garden, Drive by The Blue House (Presidential Palace), Jogyesa Temple, South Gate Open Market and Insadong Shopping Street. BL

Tues 19 June: Seoul - Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) & the Third Infiltration Tunnel – Gyeongju: After breakfast, our day begins with a drive to the DMZ and a tour of the DMZ.

North Korea's 3rd Infiltration Tunnel is located within the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and is located 44 km away from Seoul to the northwest. Dora Observation Platform is located at a western front line and from here you can get a view of the North Korean territory including the Propaganda Village, People's School and Gaeseong City, the old capital city of the Goryeo Kingdom.

After the tour of the DMZ we return to Seoul for the transfer to Gyeongju via the KTX Bullet train.BL

Weds. 20 June: Gyeongju City. Breakfast is at hotel, before departing on a tour of Gyeongju including Cheomseongdae Astronmical Observatory, Royal Tumuli Park. Gyeongju National Museum, Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto Temple

The richest repository of ancient history and arts in Korea, the city of Gyeongju was once the splendid capital of the Shilla Kingdom (B.C. 57-A.D. 935). Gyeongju is filled with the remains of the ancient Shilla Kingdom’s temples, the royal tombs, the monuments, one of the earliest astronomical observatories in Asia- Cheomseongdae, built in 647 A.D., and the crumbled remains of the palaces and the fortresses. There is a branch (Gyeongju National Museum) of the National Museum Korea in the downtown where thousands of the items are exhibited. The two supreme treasures of Gyeongju are the Bulguksa Temple and the Seokguram Grotto,  Being called "The Museum Without Walls". Gyeongju has been designated by UNESCO as one of the world's ten historic sites, and the Bulguksa Temple and the Seokguram Grotto were added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1995. BL

Thurs. 21 June: Gyeongju City / Busan City: This morning after breakfast we depart for Busan, we visit Tongdosa Temple, which was founded in 646AD and is one Korea’s most important temples.

Often called “the Temple without a Buddha”, there is not a single outdoor statue of Buddha within the grounds. Instead, the temple's courtyards are arrayed around several stupas (pagodas) that supposedly house Jajang's precious gifts. Another point of note is an eternal flame that is said to have been kept ablaze for over 1,300 years. After leaving Tongdosa you will be dropped at your convention hotel (cost for convention not included) BL
