Visit Truong Chinh water puppet theatre and workshop. Water puppetry is a unique traditional form of entertainment from rural northern Vietnam, after seeing the workshop witness the colourful show. Dinner tonight at the hotel.

Fly Hanoi To Hue
Transfer to the airport for the short morning flight to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. Transfer to hotel. In the afternoon visit the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Emperors once ruled Vietnam and the elaborate mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. In the evening take part in a Royal Dinner at the Peace Palace within the Citadel enclosure. B

Sightseeing Tour And Coach To Hoi An
After breakfast travel by boat on the romantically named Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda standing on the riverbank with its seven-storey tower. Visit the studio of Buu Chi, one of Hue's best-known artists, famous for his oil paintings. After lunch leave Hue by road for Danang, passing over the dramatic Pass of Mountain Clouds. Once over the mountain pass the road drops down to Danang City. Stop off at Danang to visit the Cham Museum, which contains the finest collection of Cham architecture in the world. Arrive in historic Hoi An late afternoon. Dinner this evening at your hotel or a local restaurant. BD

Sightseeing Tour Hoi An
A morning walking tour of the ancient town centre takes in former merchants' houses, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful market. There are many small art galleries, antiques shops and silk shops to browse through in this compact little town. An afternoon boat trip on the Thu Bon River visits a boat building village and a village where ceramics are produced. BD
Fly Hoi An To Saigon
Transfer the 25 km to Danang Airport for the morning flight to Saigon. On arrival in Saigon transfer to your hotel.
After lunch, a city tour of dynamic Saigon officially renamed Ho Chi Minh City after 1975, takes in the former Presidential Palace, the Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and Dong Khoi Street. Dong Khoi Street, once Saigon's most elegant street Rue Catinat, has many interesting art galleries and curio shops. Drive to visit the Lacquerware Factory before being back to Hotel.
Dinner this evening is at a local restaurant.
Ho Chi Minh City is the main commercial centre of the southern part of Vietnam. French colonial influences are still present with cafes and shops, which add to the ever-changing city. Ho Chi Minh City is famous for colourful Chinese Temples and sculptures depicting local deities. Trading from clothing to food can all be seen and experienced at the Ben Thanh Market. BLD

Sightseeing Tour Of Tay Ninh And Cu Chi
Drive to Tay Ninh with visit noodle workshop and pottery enroute. On arrival, observing the extraordinary noon service of the Cao Dai religious sect at their impressive and elaborate temple. Afternoon, continue to Cu Chi to visit the impressive tunnel system. Back to Ho Chi Minh City with stops en route. B
Fly Saigon To Hong Kong
You will be transferred to the Tan Son Nhat Airport for your flight. On arrival in Hong Kong you will be met by our representatives and transferred to your hotel.
A proverbial melting pot where Chinese from many regions mix with people from every corner of the globe, Hong Kong is everything: new, familiar, exotic. Vietnam Practical information
Passports & Visas: All visitors to Vietnam must have a valid passport and visa irrespective of nationality.
Health: All visitors should have inoculations for the following diseases: Cholera, Typhoid, Hepatitis A/B, Malaria, and Tuberculosis. It is advised to drink boiled or bottled water.
Customs: Tourists are permitted to import the following items duty free: One individual pack of cigarettes; 2 bottles of alcoholic beverages; a reasonable quantity of perfume. Personal effects of a reasonable quantity. All cash must be declared. Cash taken out of Vietnam must be less than the cash brought in.
Currency: The official currency is the Dong although US dollars are widely accepted.
Departure Tax: Airport tax is D$15,000 for international flights only. The tax is payable at the airport upon departure.
Population & Language: Vietnam has about 75 million residents: 85% are ethnic-Vietnamese and 2% are ethnic Chinese. The official language is Vietnamese.
Telephones: Telephones can be found in all major hotels. Long distance telephone calls are very expensive. It is advisable to make collect calls or have people call you in Vietnam.
Travellers' Cheques: Travellers cheques can be cashed at certain banks. VISA and MasterCard are accepted at the bigger hotels and restaurants. Cash advances can be made in local currency.
Working Hours: Offices, Museums, etc. are usually open from 7 or 8 am to 11 or 11:30 am and from 1 or 2 pm to 4 or 5 pm. Most museums are closed on Monday.
Clothing: Northern weather is cool from Dec. to Apr. bring clothes such as light sweaters and wind breakers. The rest of the year is hot, so light cotton clothing is suggested. In the South, only light summer clothes and sunwear are required. Short shorts and revealing tops are unacceptable unless on the beaches. During the rainy season, bring raingear.
