LYDIA GUO

ASIA

DESTINATION SPECIALIST

Planning trips can be quite rewarding, as are making recommendations and helping clients with their travel arrangements. Not only I can contribute my experience and knowledge to their planning, but I learn a lot from the planning itself.

My favourite places

  • Great Wall of China

    Asia

This is one of the New Seven World Wonders of the World just outside Beijing. As a Chinese, I'm very proud of it. There are three sections open to the public. The most famous is the Badaling section, but it's also the most crowded. Jinshanling, the furthest and wilder section, is protected very well, but very steep. Mutianyu is a good choice if clients don't want to come across crowds.

  • Chengdu

    Asia

The giant panda is an unique animal in the world and you can view this creature up close in a sanctuary in Chengdu. Unfortunately, you can no longer hold it due to restrictions. Leshan has the famous outdoor sitting Buddha in China. In front of the Buddha, there is a 2000-year-old river irrigation system of great repute.

Did you know?

  • I would not recommend visiting snow monkeys during the Japanese summer months; you won't be able to view the monkeys soaking in the onsens since they're too hot.
  • Hong Kong is not just a modern shopping and food city. It also has heritage and trekking trails that allow visitors to experience the old village way of living.
  • Boats do not operate from Langkawi to Koh Lipe in Thailand during the monsoon season.
