JENNIFER MEFFERT

UK EUROPE

RESERVATIONS MANAGER

I was born and raised in Cologne, Germany. I studied travel and tourism and have worked in travel ever since. It is not only a job, but a passion. I moved to Toronto, Canada at the beginning of 2018. Living in Germany for so many years definitely was convenient for traveling Europe extensively, as it was geographically located in the middle of the European continent. I love the landscapes and cultures being so close to each other, but all being so different. As much as I love the rough nature of the Scandinavian countries, I also enjoy the smoothly-rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy. As much I love the fine food in France, I also enjoy the urban food in the Czech Republic. As much as I love spending time on Spanish beaches, I also enjoy the dark forests in Germany. This world has so much to offer and to explore. A lifetime is not enough to see it all. Every destination is unique and has its own magic.

My favourite places

  • Italy

    UK Europe

With charming harbours, scenic hideaways, and the busy capital, Rome, Italy fullfills all the needs for a great vacation. It's the perfect destination for any kind of travel motivation, no matter if you are seeking the Italian food or if you want to expand your historical knowledge. You won't be disappointed.

  • France

    UK Europe

The French wine, the world famous French cuisine, and the beautiful nature makes France one of the most desirable destinations. Not only does it have stunning lanscapes and lavender fields, but it also has fascinating history, such as the landing beaches of D-Day in Normandy and the battlefields of World War I.

  • Germany

    UK Europe

Germany's historical background is truly unique. There is no other country that is so widely spread with old castles and leftover villages from the medieval times. But besides magical castles, you can also find some souvenirs the Roman Empire left behind when they conquered Germany.

  • Ireland

    UK Europe

With its rugged nature, Ireland has some of the most epic scenery in the world. The film industry seems to have discovered this recently, filming parts of Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and many other works in Ireland. Even if you haven't seen any of these shows, the landscapes are still stunning.

Did you know?

  • Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany was Walt Disney's inspiration for the castle in Disney's Sleeping Beauty.
  • In France ask for a "cafĂ© gourmet" after dinner, which is a combination of an espresso with 2 small desserts.
  • You have to be native Irish and speak original Irish (which is not English) to live on the Aran Islands.
  • The way the Germans eat their "Weisswurst" is called zuzeln, a technique to avoid eating the sausage skin.
