VIRGINIA DAMENO

CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA

RESERVATION SUPERVISOR

I have always felt fascinated about getting to know other places, other cultures, other landscapes, and other ways of living. I remember how anxiously I waited every year for my family summer holidays on the beaches south of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I am from. I worked during my entire university career to be able to go backpacking for a month in Europe, lay under the sun on the Mayan Riviera, go trekking in Patagonia, and relax on a Brazilian beach. But I wanted more. After I obtained my bachelor degree in International Relations, I ended up living and working in Aspen, Vancouver, and Sydney. This love of travel made me cross paths with the love of my life. We got married, moved to Vancouver, and had kids. We kept travelling as much as we could, from long haul flights to visit the family, to road trips from Vancouver to Disneyland, to the Bahamas or snorkelling in Maui to swim next to a sea turtle with my seven year old at my side. It doesn't matter if it's a day trip to Whistler or a long haul to South America, I just love to be out there! With all this passion for adventure, I could not doing anything else but work in the travel industry.

My favourite places

  • Patagonia

    Central & South America

Patagonia in the summer is an amazing place to visit. Idyllic landscapes, intense green forests, and deep blue lakes create the perfect scenery. The long, warm, sunny days offer plenty of hiking, biking, and fishing opportunities.

  • Argentina

    Central & South America

The North of Argentina is full of colours, smells, and flavours. There's great weather year round. As well, the warm people, traditional food, and cultural encounters make this area different from the rest of the country.

  • Great Barrier Reef

    Central & South America

The Great Barrier Reef is famous for a reason. It is simply amazing. Once you put on your snorkel or diving gear you enter a different world, one full of colours, movement, and life. Do not miss it!

  • Amalfi Coast

    UK Europe

Who can resist a fresh caprese salad and a home made lemoncello on a terrace overlooking the deep blue sea? The inspiring Amalfi Coast with its cliff-side villages is one of Europe's most desirable and romantic destinations.

Did you know?

  • In order to preserve the Inca Trail, only 500 permits are available per day. Permits are available on a first-come first-served basis so booking well in advance is a must.
  • Antarctica is not as cold as many people believe. During the summer, temperatures often exceed five degrees Celsius on the Peninsula.
  • Early starts are pretty common in the Galapagos because most of the wildlife is best observed early in the morning.
  • Argentina’s Perito Moreno Glacier, which contains the world's third largest reserve of fresh water, is one of just two glaciers in all of South America that is growing.
