Botswana currently offers visa-free travel to all countries for stays up to 90 days. A valid passport is mandatory. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date you expect to leave Botswana.
When is the best time to visit Botswana?
Botswana experiences two distinct seasons; hot, wet summers and cool, dry winters. The average temperatures during the summer months (from October-April) hover around 40 ̊C. These months are very humid and are when much of the country’s rainfall is expected. The winter months (May-September) are characterized by clear, sunny days with warm temperatures averaging between 27 ̊C - 35 ̊C. The best time to visit would be during the winter months when pleasant weather is expected and the humidity is minimal. This is also the best time to view wildlife as herds of animals begin to migrate.
