Best Time to Visit Malawi
Malawi has a sub-tropical climate which is relatively dry. The warm and wet season lasts from November to April, during which 95% of Malawi’s annual precipitation takes place. A hot, dry season lasts from September to October. Any time between May and October is a good time, weather-wise. Winter is chilly on the Nyika Plateau but on Lake Malawi, you can expect warm, sunny and dry days, perfect for the beach. Winter is also the best time for game viewing - much of the vegetation has thinned out and animals are concentrated at rivers and permanent waterholes.
