Best Time to Visit Peru
You can visit Peru any time of the year. There are two seasons weather-wise, the dry season from May to October which brings bright sunny days but chilly nights and the wet season from November to April consisting of frequent heavy showers but warmer weather with January and February being the wettest months. The dry season is the peak season when Peru receives the most visitors, especially in July and August. The Inca Trail is closed during February but Machu Picchu is open all year round, 7 days a week.
The best months for trekking and visiting the Amazon region are from June to September. In mountain areas, roads and trek paths can become impassable from January through April.
