Bulgaria experiences a temperate-continental climate which means hot summers and long, cold winters. The best time to visit is during the spring months (April - June). The springtime weather is pleasant with temperatures averaging around 15°C - 20°C, and tourist volume is lower at this time than during the summer. Although nights can be chilly, daytime temperatures are ideal for exploring nature and visiting the many interesting sites. The winter months, although cold, are ideal for skiing and snowboarding.

Taxis are readily available in Bulgaria as well. One of the other popular methods of transportation is railways, which function both within the country and between neighboring countries.

Is Bulgaria a family-friendly destination?

Absolutely! Family beach vacations are very popular and there are plenty of good beaches to enjoy with white sands, sunny skies and blue waters. If you have an active family, the Balkan Mountain region is perfect for hiking, mountain biking and simply taking in beautiful landscapes. Ski trips are also popular family vacations and there are many different resorts to choose from. Bulgaria definitely has something to offer families with kids of any age
