With a continental climate, Bulgaria experiences warm summers and cold winters. Spring in Bulgaria is from March to May and the weather tends to be warm during the day, but with chillier evenings. Summers in Bulgaria are very hot and run from June to August. Temperatures begin to drop during the autumn months of September to November, but days are generally mild and pleasant, although it can rain quite a bit in October and November. Finally, winters are naturally colder in northern Bulgaria, but snow is common around the country between December and February.
