As a result of its location near the Gulf Stream, Denmark enjoys a temperate climate. The country generally experiences four seasons, each with its own characteristics. Spring runs from April to May and this time of year tends to be mild in temperature. Summer in Denmark is from June to August, with August traditionally being the hottest time of the year, averaging temperatures around 15˚C (60˚F). September to November is autumn in Denmark, with these months being characterized by rain and cloudy skies. Finally, winter is from December to March and these months are typically cold and snow falls. The coldest month in Denmark is usually February with an average temperature of 0˚C (32˚C).
