Latvia Weather
The coastal regions of Latvia experience a maritime climate characterized by cooler summers and milder winters. Further east, the climate experiences the opposite, becoming more continental in nature.
Spring in Latvia is from mid-March until June and can be unpredictable, sometimes enjoying mild temperatures, but there has also been snow until late in the season. Summer is from June to August with an average temperature of 19˚C (66˚F), however, the country has experienced temperatures as high as 35˚C (95˚F). Fall in Latvia runs from September to mid-December and can be quite mild. This time of year experiences the most amount of rain. Finally, winter is from mid-December until mid-March with temperatures averaging around -6˚C (21˚F). It snows quite a bit during this time of year, but there is also a lot of sunshine.
