Malta Weather
Malta offers a traditional Mediterranean climate composed of two seasons, dry and hot summers from May to October and mild winters from November to April. Typically July is the hottest month, with temperatures averaging around 30˚C (86˚F) in July and August and can reach 35˚C (95˚F). Daytime temperatures are sometimes helped by cooling sea breezes, however, evenings are usually quite humid. Malta enjoys around 3000 hours of sunlight annually.
Winters are very mild in Malta and the islands rarely experience cold weather. Winter witnesses the rainy season and February is the coolest month. Average daily temperatures during the winter are around 15˚C (59˚F) and can reach 20˚C (68˚F). Daytime temperatures rarely fall below 10˚C (50˚F) and nighttime temperatures never fall below 0˚C (32˚F).
