Best Time to Visit Norway
Norway stretches from a temperate climate to an arctic climate so it depends on where in Norway you visit. In general, the best time to visit is early summer during the months of June and July when the bus, ferry and train services are most frequent. This is the time of the Midnight Sun with long days of daylight and plenty of suns usually. Winters can be long and dark. Easter is the time of colourful Sami festivals in the north. Spring arrives around May when wildflowers are everywhere. In the far north, it is cold from late September to mid-May. October, February and March are the best months for seeing the Northern Lights. Mid-August to October is when accommodation and ferries are at mid or low-season rates.
