Social Conventions
The people of Romania are very friendly and handshaking is the most common greeting. People tend to dress casually here, but can also be conservative. As a result, it is advisable to keep beach attire at the beach.
Language
Romanian is the official language, however, Hungarian and German are also spoken in parts.
Religion
More than three-quarters of the population of Romania identifies as Eastern Orthodox; however, there are Greek Catholic, Roman Catholic, Protestant, Unitarian, and Jewish minorities.
