The climate of Switzerland is greatly impacted by the Atlantic Ocean. The north enjoys moderate winters that aren’t too cold. While temperatures naturally drop in the mountains, the north does experience warm summers. The southern part of the country has been influenced by the Mediterranean with temperatures reaching, but rarely exceeding, 30˚C (86˚F). The north experiences a moderate winter that is cold but not unbearable.
