Boutique Cape Town and Sabi Sands

Duration
9 Days
Prices From:
AU$ 7,983

Pair two of South Africa’s most iconic regions on one incredible tour. Start in Cape Town, where you’ll explore South Africa’s most beautiful city and the nearby Cape Peninsula. Then connect to Sabi Sands Game Reserve to spend a few days on game drives searching for the Big Five.

This 9-day South African vacation takes you from Cape Town to a safari lodge in the northwest. It features first-class accommodations, shared tours, and is perfect for a first-time visit to South Africa.

Your journey begins in Cape Town, the beautiful city on the southwestern coastline. You’ll have your first evening to yourself to get acclimated and soak up the views of the ocean and the backdrop of Table Mountain. On your first full day, you’ll head on a peninsula tour to savour the beauty of the coastline. Drive along Millionaire’s Paradise, opt for a cruise of Seal Island, and see the bountiful nature of Table Mountain National Park. You’ll also swing by the naval port town of Simon’s Town before spotting African penguins at Boulder Beach. Close out the day at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, where you’ll stroll alongside exotic flowerbeds and enjoy sunset over the peaks of Table Mountain.

You’ll have another two full days in Cape Town to explore on your own. Shop for goodies and try out popular new restaurants along the V&A Waterfront, tour Robben Island, the infamous island prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 18 years, or venture into Bo-Kaap to see the colourful homes of the Cape Malay community and try some of the city’s best dishes.

From Cape Town, fly to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and connect to Dulini River Lodge, a 5-star safari camp along the Sand River in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Staying in one of the premium riverside suites, you’ll enjoy excellent accommodations with a private verandah with views of the river. You’ll have three full days of game drives to venture through the wild in search of Africa’s most famous animals. Each morning, rise at dawn and join your professional ranger and guide to head out in open land rovers searching for elephants crossing the bush or white rhinos in the first light of the sun. Break for a hearty breakfast and midday back at the lodge, where you can relax with a massage or enjoy a cocktail on the viewing deck. In the late afternoon, you’ll head on another game drive to spot big cats in the cooling sun. In the evening, retire to the lodge for a hearty dinner at the boma. You may even spot a leopard stalking through the bush nearby.

At the end of your stay, connect back to the airport to continue to your next destination.

More Quarters offers the combination of apartment living with the service and hospitality of a hotel. The apartments are ideally located just off Kloof Street, referred to as the 'heart of Cape Town' by the locals. This is partly due to the area being relatively untouched by mainstream tourism, hence adding to the authenticity and value of the Kloof Street address.

The ability to walk to both restaurants and boutique shops provides guests with an experience where one becomes part of the city's cosmopolitan way of life. There are exclusive and casual retailers and eateries all within walking distance of More Quarters.

Access to other tourist attractions is easy and without congestion especially during peak season periods. Table Mountain is at your doorstep, Lions Head is a stone's throw away and the beautiful beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay are just over Kloofnek - the opportunities are endless!
