FIRST-CLASS | SMALL GROUP: Embark on an extraordinary journey through some of East Africa's most popular national parks on this Goway exclusive small group safari. Get ready to witness breathtaking vistas and incredible wildlife as you explore Kenya and Tanzania and witness nature at its finest.

Kenya and Tanzania offer a breathtaking array of wildlife. But 14 days travelling these two countries gives you the chance to really discover the bold contrasts of east Africa.

Your safari club accommodation offers the splendour of the colonial era with every modern convenience, along with golf, wonderful views and immaculate gardens. Visit a nearby animal orphanage for a chance to get up close and personal with some of the famous locals. Then drive on to Serena Mountain Lodge at the foot of Mt Kenya. This prime position offers a unique game watching experience, as the animals come to you – or at least, to a waterhole located just below the lodge’s terrace, offering a fantastic opportunity to photograph these majestic creatures.

Vast flocks of flamingos descend on Lake Nakuru, along with warthogs, baboons and other impressive mammals. Try and spot some of the park’s introduced black and white rhinos. Leopard sightings have also increased in recent years.

The vast plains of the Serengeti cross the border into Kenya, becoming Masai Mara. This game reserve is famous for its large population of big cats and the colourful culture of the Masai people. This is one of the best preserved parts of Kenya, where life has changed little in over a century. Your luxury accommodation overlooks the Mara River, with game drives timed to maximise your wildlife spotting chances.

The world’s most famous wildlife sanctuary, Serengeti National Park is the crown jewel of Tanzania, where you can witness the annual migration of over a million wildebeest and 250,000 zebra. On morning and afternoon game drives, seek out the Big 5 (more than 3,000 lions and 1,000 leopards call the Serengeti home), cheetahs, hyenas, baboon, African wild dogs and giraffes. Bird watchers should also keep their eyes peeled for over 500 species that inhabit the plains.

Your last stop is the world’s largest open, inactive volcanic crater. Ngorongoro is one of Africa’s finest wildlife conservation areas and home to over 25,000 large animals including lions, zebra, wildebeest and gazelles. It is also one of your best opportunities to see black rhinos, the rarest of the Big 5.

Tanzanias prehistoric Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Eighth Wonder of the World, has yawned heavenward for millennia. Nestled high above the plains into the Craters jagged rim, cloaked in river stone and indigenous vines, Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is barely visible to the naked eye. Framed by arched stone passages and timbered decks, its torch-lit walls are adorned with stylized cave paintings. At the stone heart of the lodge burns a glowing fire, which is kept constantly alight. Rooms are looped around the Crater rim. Each has its own rock-enclosed balcony, and all enjoy completely uninterrupted views of the volcanic amphitheater far below. Our Ngorongoro hotel lodge is a place that feels as ancient as the Crater itself, yet no modern comfort has been spared in an effort to bring you the best safari adventure in Africa and one of the most unique travel experiences in the world.

In the middle of the crater there is a large lake inhabited by hundreds of flamingoes and from a distance, they appear as a pink border of the lake.
