Kings Palace Museum and Butare Museum
Today, you will visit the Kings Palace Museum and Butare Museum. The Kings Palace offers a detailed look into the Rwandan traditional seat of their monarchy, restored to its 19th century state and made entirely with traditional materials. The Butare Museum is a valuable source of information on the cultural history of not only the country but the region itself. (Note: these visits may be done on the way from Kigali on Day 1 or on the return to Kigali on Day 4, depending on flight arrival & departure times into & out of Kigali.)

Chimp Trek
This morning you will be collected and taken to the chimp trekking base for your trekking experience. Nyungwe Forest National Park is among the most diverse ecosystems in the country, with the chimpanzees being the core wildlife attraction in this park. Living in groups ranging from 10 and above, the chimpanzees are very mobile and always on the move from one place to another some jumping over tree branches. A chimpanzee trekking safari in Rwanda offers great wildlife encounters and experiences as one goes deep in the middle of the forest viewing many other wildlife species.
