Settle into Bangkok, then embark on a local street food tour. Starting at Tha-Prachan pier near the Grand Palace, you’ll meet Thai and Chinese chefs, sample spicy noodles with pork and fish balls, aromatic curries, seafood cakes, and other Thai specialties. The tour is a great way to explore the city as well, taking you to a variety of neighbourhoods before ending in Chinatown.

The following day, it’s time to put all those influences to work as you take in a class at the Blue Elephant Cooking School. Under the expert guidance of your instructor, choose your ingredients and whip up your own Thai meal. Both the foodie tour and cooking class are half-day experiences, leaving you plenty of time to explore the city at your leisure.

Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Bangkok Hotel With Guide

Day 2

Half Day Cooking Class at Blue Elephant

Learn the secrets of Thai cuisine with a cooking class at Blue Elephant, Bangkok's most reputable cooking school. Join one of their chefs for a culinary adventure, selecting exotic locally-grown ingredients, learning traditional kitchen techniques and using authentic recipes to prepare a delicious and memorable meal.

You'll start by heading off to Blue Elephant to meet with one of the chefs to head out to one of the capital's many morning markets for an introduction to Thai food culture. Browse the stalls learning about the various ingredients on sale, watching the scenes of local life and selecting fresh items to be used in the cooking class.

Afterwards, return to Blue Elephant for an insightful culinary class. The chef will distribute a recipe book then demonstrate the preparation methods, giving detailed commentary about the process before it's time for the hands-on experience. At your individual cooking station, use the recipes and the techniques demonstrated by the chef to prepare a selection of dishes. The chef and other local assistants will be available to help or offer advice.

After the meal is prepared, sit down and enjoy the delicate flavours of authentic, home-cooked Thai cuisine. Say farewell to the Blue Elephant team, departing with a full belly and a better understanding of traditional Thai cuisine.

Following your class, you'll be returned to your hotel.

Evening Chinatown Food Experience

From the savoury bites of traditional Chinese dumplings to the sweet treats of fried sugary donuts, taste the delicacies of Bangkok's famous Chinatown. Discover the Chinese culture of Bangkok through seeing, smelling and tasting.

As the sun sets, Bangkok really comes alive and just about every street is filled with the great smell of delicious food that really ignites the taste buds. The neighbourhood is internationally renowned for the city's longest street food stalls, and definitely there is no other way to explore the area's best kept food secrets than by foot.

You'll explore the glittering and energetic Chinatown's Yaowarat Street and be introduced to the history of the area and some favourite street food artisans.

Grab delicious bites of various kinds of food, from the famous Chinese dumplings, peppered pork noodles, Chinese donuts, and many more! Enjoy sweet Chinese desserts and visit a tea shop house.

Following your tour, you'll be returned to your hotel.
