Best of the Tropical North

Duration
7 Days
Prices From:
AU$ 1,648

FIRST-CLASS | TAILOR-MADE: From Cairns experience easy access to tropical islands, rainforests, mountains, palm-fringed sands, beautiful beaches and the Great Barrier Reef, one of nature’s wonders of the world.

Combine the best of tropical North Queensland on this week-long independent tour, taking you to the Great Barrier Reef, Kuranda and beautiful Cape Tribulation.

Picturesque Kuranda offers you more than just scenery. Climb aboard an amphibious army duck to explore the rainforest, where an authentic taste of Aboriginal culture including a ‘Dreamtime’ walk and the chance to throw a boomerang await. Return to Cairns on the Skyrail for a birds-eye view of the forest before your trip out on the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll travel to the Reef’s outer edge to meet some of the 1200 species of fish and 500 species of coral that call this magical place home.

The name ‘Cape Tribulation’ might seem ironic, as you immerse yourself in the tranquil rainforest of this national park on a guided walk (actually, explorer James Cook christened it after his ship was damaged attempting to pass). End your journey with a full day at leisure in Cairns before your onward flight.
