Explore Australia’s cultural capital and surrounding natural highlights on this fantastic vacation. Take in Melbourne’s vibrant nightlife and historical attractions, as well as the wineries of the Yarra Valley and the Penguin Parade of Phillip Island. Drive the Great Ocean Road and connect to Sydney to cap off your journey.

This 9-day Australian vacation  takes travellers to Melbourne to explore one of the world’s premiere cultural getaways and its surrounding highlights, as well as Sydney at trip’s end. It features economy, moderate, or first-class accommodations depending on preference, international airfare, shared tours, and is a great introduction to Australia.

Your journey begins with a flight across the Pacific Ocean. Land in Melbourne and begin your exploration of Australia. Melbourne is the seven-time World’s Most Liveable City according to The Economist and boasts a stunning mix of trendsetting culture and gorgeous natural surroundings. On your first full day in the city, you’ll have the option of a morning sightseeing tour to see city highlights from St. Patrick’s Cathedral to the Fitzroy Gardens and the Queen Victoria Markets. In the later afternoon, venture to Phillip Island to catch the nightly Penguin Parade, where hundreds of adorable Little Penguins waddle ashore at sunset. Back in Melbourne, spend the night hopping between the laneway and arcade bars that define the city’s urban nightlife.

While in Melbourne, you’ll have the option to take advantage of the gorgeous natural surroundings. You can spend a day in the Yarra Valley, visiting four premium cellar doors to sample some of Australia’s best wine. You’ll cap off the day at Domaine Chandon, maker of the number one sparkling wine in Australia. Another day, you can venture along the Great Ocean Road, one of the world’s most celebrated coastal drives. Gaze upon the Twelve Apostles, rocky outcrops in the surf, and the Loch Ard Gorge among other stunning rock formations.

After exploring Melbourne’s nature and culture, take the train to Sydney to spend two nights in Australia’s largest city. Take advantage of the iVenture Sydney Attraction Pass to gain entry to five top attractions in the city, including the world-famous Sydney Opera House, the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, or Taronga Zoo, where you can spot koalas and kangaroos among other adorable marsupials.

At the end of your stay, connect back home. Or consider extending your stay to see all that Australia has to offer.
