Spend 4 days in Porto on this magical city break to Portugal's lovely, yet gritty second city. Of course, you'll have the chance to taste the famous Port wine, and cruise the Duoro Valley in addition to seeing the sights.
Settle into your hotel, ideally located in the historic city centre, and spend the night exploring the city's charms. The following day, a half-day guided tour takes you to historic sights of this UNESCO World Heritage listed city. Visit the Se Cathedral, Bento Train Station, and the famous Leilo Bookshop that (partly) inspired J K Rowling's Harry Potter series. With the balance of the day to explore on your own, you might want to visit the church of Sao Francisco, with its magnificent crypt and golden Baroque interior. Nearby is the Palacio da Bolsa, where the feast for your eyes continues with magnificent Neoclassical designs.
The following day, meet with your group for a full day tour of the Duoro Valley, the source of Porto's natural and culinary riches - and another UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy sightseeing including the Nossa Senhora Dos Remedios sanctuary, followed by a one hour cruise on the Duoro and of course, a port wine tasting! Return to Porto for one more night before your departure.

Half Day Porto City Tour

Full Day Duoro Valley Tour + Lunch
On this shared group tour, discover this charming and unique region in the north of Portugal, known as the first demarcated wine region in the world and having its landscape classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This tour takes you to Lamego where you will visit the "Nossa Senhora dos Remedios" Sanctuary, enjoy lunch and visit Pinhao, where you will enjoy a one hour panoramic cruise on the Douro river. The end of the tour includes a port wine tasting. Lunch is included.
