Explore these pictures cities and famous alpine landmarks on a range of organized tours, with plenty of leisure time as well.


This 8-day Swiss vacation takes you to Zurich, Lucerne, and Interlaken. It features first-class accommodations and private tours. 

Your journey begins in Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland and one of the world centres for banking and art galleries. Upon arrival, you'll have the rest of the day at leisure in Zurich to visit some of the museums and stroll along the banks of Lake Zurich. The next day, head on a two-hour private walking tour of the old town, learning stories about famous inhabitants of the city, discovering hidden alleyways and squares, and strolling down famous Bahnhofstrasse.  

From Zurich, connect to Lucerne, located on Lake Lucerne and home to the famous covered bridge, Kapellbrucke. While based in Lucerne, you’ll head on an alpine adventure up the “Dragon Mountain” of Mount Pilatus. Ride the gondola for 30 minutes to Frakmuntegg, then continue up the cableway to the summit of Mount Pilatus to enjoy the stunning views. Enjoy some free time atop the mountain and stroll along the Dragon’s Trail, which skirts the summit. Then take the world’s steepest cogwheel train back down the mountain to Alpnachstad, riding past glistening mountain streams, stark rock walls, and verdant meadows. Cap off your day with a leisurely boat ride on picturesque Lake Lucerne.

Continue to Interlaken, located between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the shadow of Jungfrau. Head on a full-day tour to Jungfraujoch, the “Top of Europe” and the highest railway station in the world, located at 3,454m above sea level. Afterwards, journey through famous mountain villages, including Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald to learn about legends of the area and appreciate the beautiful scenery. The next day is at leisure in Interlaken to further explore the alpine landscape or book a boat ride on one of the lakes. 

At the end of your stay, connect back to Zurich to return home.

Arrive Zurich

Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and is located in the north-central German-speaking part of the country. It is also located at the northern tip of Lake Zurich.  Zurich is one of the world’s largest financial centres and home to a large number of important banking giants.  However, it is also a city with a long history and boasts many museums (approximately 50) and art galleries (approximately 100) to be enjoyed on Switzerland vacations. Zurich is ideally situated only 30 kilometres/18 miles from the Alps. 

On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in downtown Zurich.

The balance of the day is at leisure.

Together, we uncover the secrets of Bahnhofstrasse, find out what a 'procession axis' is, and visit a church with a minute-hand that jumps a record-breaking half meter every minute.

Begin your journey toward the skies with a 30-minute panoramic gondola ride to Frakmuntegg, and then hop aboard the aerial cableway for your ascent to the summit of Mount Pilatus. Relax at your leisure on the peak or take a short hike to make the most of the stunning scenery below. During your free time atop Mount Pilatus, perhaps sit down to a high-altitude lunch among the peaks (own expense) or relax on the expansive sun terrace. Venture down the Dragon's Path and take the short hike around the summit to enjoy the amazing views. Take the world's steepest cogwheel train down to Alpnachstad, descending past trickling mountain streams and sheer rock faces toward the verdant, green meadows below.
