Your trip to Slovenia begins in Ljubljana, the capital and largest city in the nation. After a welcome drink with your group on the first night, you’ll head on a sightseeing tour of the city. Discover the pleasant atmosphere of the city, known for its early-modern architecture and abundant greenery, as you ride the cable car up to Ljubljana Castle, where you’ll enjoy a tasting of Slovenian wine. Leave the capital and head for Postojna Cave, one of the largest caves of Europe and an awesome subterranean world of stalactites and rock columns. Explore the cave system by electric train before you continue to a nearby wine producer for a wine and prosciutto tasting. End the day in Piran, one of the loveliest towns on the Adriatic coast.
After a tour of the highlights of Piran, including its medieval old town, you’ll continue on to the coastal resort town of Portoroz before you rise into the hills of Goriska Brda. Walk the streets of Smartno, a hillside village centred on the parish church, before you head to a local farm for a dinner. Follow the winding Soca River and its emerald green waters to reach Kobarid, site of the Battle of Caporetto in 1917, which was mentioned in Ernest Hemingway’s A Farewell to Arms. Tour the World War I Museum to learn more about the history before continuing to Boka Waterfall before reaching Bled. Bled is arguably the most beautiful town in the country, perhaps even the whole Adriatic. A tour of the lakeside town will take you to Bled Castle, which overlooks the lake from its famous clifftop, and showcase the breathtaking views before you head to nearby Lake Bohinj and ride the cable car up Mount Govel to enjoy the sights of the Julian Alps. Cap off your tour with a farewell dinner among new friends.
At the end of your Slovenian tour, you’ll connect back to Ljubjana for onward travels.

Bled
A sightseeing tour shows you the highlights of this charming town on the shores of Lake Bled. You’ll also visit imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. We will return to the shore and taste the famous Bled cream cake. In the afternoon, tour to the other Alpine beauty, Lake Bohinj, enjoy a relaxing walk along the lake and take a cable car to Mt. Vogel. Enjoy some cheese tasting and admire the stoning Julian Alps. Tonight, celebrate the wonderfully scenic vacation with a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.
