Frankfurt is a city of contrasts. Wealthy bankers, students and drop-outs coexist in a city that has some of the highest, most avant-garde skyscrapers in Europe next to well maintained old buildings. It is the gateway to Germany and for many people also the first point of arrival in Europe.
Start your exploration of the city on a Hop On Hop Off bus which allows you time to take in all the many highlights of Frankfurt. Including the Romerberg, the busy market square located in the Old Town, St. Nickolas Church, the Ostzeile (half timbered old houses), the Cathedral, also known simply as the Dom and an imposing old Roman Catholic Gothic church located in the centre of Frankfurt, the Opera House and Paulskirche or St. Paul's Church which was the seat of the first democratically elected parliament in Germany in 1848. Also consider some shopping at the Zeil Shopping Centre.
The next day enjoy a full day to the River Rhine with its small attractive villages, vineyards and medieval castles. See the Lorelei Rock situated on a cliff towering over the narrowest part of the river. Visit the Niederwald Monument and take an optional cable care ride up into the hills to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Then join a steamer to have a boat trip on the river to Goarshausen with, if time permits, a stop in the quaint town of Rudesheim. Return later by bus to Frankfurt.

With this Hop On - Hop Off City Tour in the blue double-decker cabrio busses you have the possibility to create your own individual Sightseeing Tour in Frankfurt. Simply hop off at one of the bus stops, visit the sights close by and then continue the tour with one of the next busses. Day Tour on the Rhine and Wine Tasting
This is an unforgettable day trip to the Rhine River Valley - an area which UNESCO counts to the World Heritage of mankind. Come and see the river, the little villages and vineyards. The river is lined with mighty medieval castles, more than anywhere else in the world. See the famous Loreley Rock, a 194-metre-high slate cliff towering above the narrowest point of the Rhine. Enjoy a gorgeous view from the Niederwald Monument and a cable car ride (optional, own account) from the top of the hills in summertime. Lunch (included) will be in a beautiful restaurant at the riverside, followed by a wonderful boat trip on a Rhine steamer up to St. Goarshausen. Try fine wines on location in a small tavern and or just lose yourself in the picturesque little town of Rudesheim. Please note that the tour will only stop at Rudesheim if time allows. In the winter you'll get the chance to visit a castle, as the Rhine Steamers won't be sailing. You will travel back to Frankfurt by bus when the tour is finished and will be dropped off at the meeting point.
