FIRST-CLASS | ESCORTED TOUR: Explore Croatia and Slovenia on this 10-day Adriatic vacation starting in Zagreb and ending in Dubrovnik. During your journey, you’ll visit the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, beautiful Lake Bled, the Plitvice Lakes, and Diocletian’s Place in Split, among other medieval wonders.

This 10-day Adriatic vacation takes you along the sparking Dalmatian Coast through Croatia and Slovenia. It includes first-class accommodation and small group tours.

Your Croatian vacation begins in Zagreb, Croatia’s capital that’s too often overshadowed by coastal towns, but holds its own with top-notch museums and cultural attractions. A city tour puts things into perspective before you take the rest of the day to explore. One of the most popular, if unusual, attractions is the moving and surprisingly tender Museum of Broken Relationships, but there are plenty of other sights to see around town.

Connect into Slovenia and the capital Ljubljana, where a walking tour showcases the open-air Central Market and other popular city sights. Continue to Bled, arguably the most beautiful city in Slovenia. Pitched on the edge of an alpine lake and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Bled is a fairy tale vision of Europe. A city tour takes you to some of the most romantic landmarks, including Bled Castle. Cap off your Slovenian vacation with a trip to Postojna, where you’ll tour some of the largest caves in Europe.

Back across the border in Croatia, you’ll see the Hapsburg villas of Opatija and visit the Plitvice Lakes, which showcase mainland Croatia at its most spectacular. Onwards to Split, home to Diocletian’s Palace, the grandest and best known of Croatia’s Roman monuments. After exploring some of the most noteworthy archaeological sites around the city, you’ll have the rest of the day at leisure to relax or take an optional day trip to Hvar, one of the most beautiful islands of the Dalmatian Coast.

End your trip to Croatia in the shining jewel of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik. This walled city has become almost too popular in recent years thanks to its starring turn in Game of Thrones. But there are still a lot of ways to beat the crowds as you get lost in its streets, go beyond the old town, graze your way through the city’s booming culinary scene, and, of course, explore the famous walls.

At the end of your stay, connect to the airport for onward travels, but consider extending your trip or venturing onwards into neighboring Montenegro or Bosnia & Herzegovina.
