This 7-day Portuguese vacation takes you from Lisbon to Evora and through the southern region of the Algarve. . 

Your journey begins in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital and a stunning town of cobbled alleys and domed cathedrals hiding world-class food, music, and history. See the city at your pleasure with the convenience of a sightseeing bus combo ticket, riding the route and hopping on and off at some of the city’s most famous landmarks. You can stroll along the Tagus and feel the breeze on your face as you admire Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, and the Monument of the Discovers, or ride the tramcar into the hills to see the humble neighbourhoods of Alfama and Castelo while enjoying beautiful views. 

Set out from Lisbon and cross through a landscape of olive vineyards to reach Evora, a UNESCO-listed city known for its whitewashed streets and famous monuments, including Saint Francis Church and the eerie Chapel of Bones. Take the day to wander through the old town streets and join a wine and cheese tasting before retiring for the night. Head south to Beja, where medieval castles tower over the historic streets. Cross the mountains into the Algarve, the southernmost region known for its sunny beaches, rocky formations, and castles dating back to Moorish times. You’ll swing by Silves to see the red sandstone castle and enjoy the sands of Praia da Rocha before reaching Lagos, where you’ll overnight.

Reach Ponta de Piedad, located on the southern tip of the country and offering dramatic views over the Atlantic. Follow the cliffs to the fishing port of Sagres and Sabo San Vincente, the most south-westerly point in Europe. Back in Lagos, you’ll have some time to explore on your own or take a dip in the ocean. Turn back for Lisbon and travel via Setubal and the Arrabida Mountain Range, one of Portugal’s most impressive natural parks, known for its limestone formations. 

You’ll have one last night in Lisbon before heading to the airport the next day.

Day 3

Lisbon to Evora

Departing Lisbon cross over the river Tagus and drive by a beautiful and bucolic landscape of olive trees, cork oak trees and vineyards before arriving at Evora - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As a group walk along the whitewashed streets and visit visiting some of the most famous monuments: the Roman Temple, the Romanesque-gothic Cathedral, Saint Francis Church with the "Bones Chapel", and the University. When visiting the market sense the richness of products used to prepare one of the most elaborated and appreciated gastronomies of Portugal. Admire the diversity and authenticity of local handicraft with cork, ceramic and copper objects. Enjoy your lunch then in the afternoon you have free time for to discover the city at your pace, we recommend you take the time to experience a wine and cheese tasting.

Day 4

Evora to Beja, Silves and Lagos

Spend a morning of leisure in Evora before the tour departs heading southbound for Beja. Here you can see Portuguese medieval castles with their tall towers dominating the town and the region. Crossing small mountains you will enter the Algarve. By fields of orange trees, you will travel to Silves, dominated by its red sandstone castle dating back to Moorish times. Continue to the golden sands of the Algarve, passing by Praia da Rocha. The last stop today will be in Lagos.

Day 5

Lagos to Pontada Piedade, Sagres and Cabo Sao Vicente

Today you will travel to Ponta de Piedad for a magnificent view of the Atlantic. The cliffs have been sculpted by the erosive action of both the sea and time. The tour continues to Sagres, a fishing port, for a visit to the fortress which was once the mythical navigation school. You will then proceed along the cliffs to Cabo Sao Vincente for a stop in the most southwestern point in Europe. Upon your early return to the hotel you will have time to explore the cosmopolitan of Lagos on your own or to relax with the beach and dip in the sea.

Day 6

Lagos to Setubal, Serrada Arrabida and Lisbon

It's goodbye to the sea and the beaches as you travel along the coast and then out of the Algarve. The return trip takes you to Setubal, a major port and industrial center on the bank of the Sado estuary. From there the drive is along the Arrabida mountain range, which is preserved as a natural park. Upon arrival in Lisbon the tour is concluded. You are free to make your own arrangements from here.
