MODERATE | TAILOR-MADE: Enjoy both the city of Zurich and the attractions of Lake Zurich with its pretty historical towns. Take a trolley tour in the city and a bus tour around the lake including a cable car ride.
Arrive independently in Zurich for a 3 night stay. The following morning, have a 2 hour “Best of Zurich” tour of the city which will include the financial district, some important museums, Grossmunter Church, St. Peter’s Church with Europe’s largest clock face, Fraumunster Church with its Chagall windows and the University District. In the summer, this will be on an open air trolley.
The next day enjoy a mini bus tour along Lake Zurich starting with a visit to the Lindt Chocolate Shop where you can buy all the chocolate you want, Then it’s on to Rappperswil, a small town known for its medieval castle and narrow alleyways. Then head to the Appenzell Region and Stein with its Cheese Factory to learn how cheese is made. Continue to Brulisau where you will take a cable car to the peak of Panorama Mountain for amazing views of not only the immediate countryside but much further afield into the Rhine Valley and Austria. Then walk through the Alpine Garden after which finish in the picturesque town of Appenzell with time for shopping before heading back to Zurich.

Hotel Glockenhof
The Glockenhof hotel is located in the commercial area of the city of Zurich, just a few meters from the central railway station and the famous Zürisee lake. Best of Zurich
Enjoy this two and a half hour tour of Zurich. Let this city surpise you with its beauty and charm, as you explore its different neighbourhoods including the Financial district, University quarter and Limmatquai Old town. Have your camera ready as it stops for photo opportunities on Lake Zurich and enjoy the cogwheel railway to a view point looking down on town.

Mountains, Cheese and Chocolate
Drive in a comfortable minibus (small group - max. 16 passengers) on the panoramic highway along beautiful Lake Zurich to the Lindt Chocolate Shop where a great shopping opportunity awaits you. Buy some of the most delicious Swiss Chocolates at best conditions. The journey continues to Rapperswil, well known for its medieval castle and on to the green and hilly region of Appenzell. In Stein you will visit the cheese factory where the famous Appenzeller cheese is made. Learn more about the cheese making and the ancient traditions of this typical region. Continue via the picturesque village of Appenzell to Brulisau. Here you start the ride with the aerial cable car to the peak of the Panorama Mountain "Hoher Kasten" (1,800m / 6,000ft). Enjoy the fascinating view over the gently rolling hills of the Appenzellerland, the Rhine Valley and the Vorarlberg (Austria). Take a walk through the Alpine Garden and visit the spectacular revolving restaurant (lunch at your own cost). After this unique experience a guided walk through the small town of Appenzell awaits you. The pedestrian zone with its beautiful facades invites you for a stroll or some shopping during your time at leisure before heading back to Zurich.
