Goway Launches its Newest Globetrotting Adventure - Iceland!

Goway takes globetrotters (almost!) pole to pole with new Iceland tours.

Most people know Iceland as a place of stunning natural beauty… and Bjork. But those who go globetrotting with Goway Travel are about to discover much, much more.

More visitors than ever are discovering the world’s most spectacular geothermal laboratory. Some take just a short Reykjavik city break on the way to Europe, but longer Iceland tours can easily fill a week or more. Over 650,000 tourists visited in 2012, providing almost a quarter of the country’s export revenue.

Goway’s new Iceland trips include coach tours, self-drives, and stopover packages in Reykjavik. Two of the new trips focus on the southern part of the country. The Volcanoes and Glaciers Coach Tour offers guests the convenience of a guided coach itinerary, while the Nature's Power Self-Drive lets globetrotters explore the region at their own pace.

The south contains many of Iceland’s best attractions, including the classic ‘Golden Circle’ route covering Strokkur Geysir and Gullfoss Falls. Guests also explore the beautiful domain of Eyjafjallajokull. This volcano made headlines for all the wrong reasons when it grounded flights across Europe in 2010. Still, it rises above one of the most glacier-rich landscapes in the world – making it far more photogenic than it is pronounceable! Nearby Thingvellir National Park is the meeting place of Iceland’s ancient parliament, and a highlight on both trips.

Goway also offers its unique Mountain and Fjords Coach Tour, a journey through the country’s less visited northwest. This stunning country is steeped in folklore and Viking history. It’s the birthplace of many an Icelandic Saga, and of Leif Eriksson, who became the first European to discover North America around 1000AD.

Sorry Columbus!
