Here is another original Goway travel idea. It is a unique program that is designed for Globetrotters who have plenty of time and is perfect for return visitors to Downunder. We invite you to live with the locals in one or more of our recommended destinations for a minimum of two weeks. That is the amount of time that will allow you to experience the local lifestyle, living and mingling in the community. We will set you up in a fully self-contained apartment. You will receive a grocery starter pack and a welcome information kit containing maps, transport timetables, important contacts such as local clubs (diggers, surf, golf, bowls, fishing, etc), current events (surf carnivals, festivals, rugby, cricket) and suggested activities (cycling, beach and bush walking, picnics and barbecues, day tours, shopping, churches, etc). You will be a toll-free call away from Goway’s Sydney office for advice or emergencies.

All locations are areas where locals choose to live and/or go on vacation all year round. They are also places that receive minimal international visitors as compared to the mainstream tourist spots.

You can stay longer than two weeks or you can combine our chosen destinations with actual touring before or after your local stay. We think our prices will encourage you to go for an extended time… remember your airfare cost should remain the same, however long you go for.

Prices quoted are for twin rates based on one-bedroom self-contained apartments. Prices to upgrade to 2 & 3-bedroom units are available. There are some inclusions that may vary slightly with the location. All accommodations feature pools, many have a spa, sauna, gym and BBQ facilities. All have a building manager. Bay of Plenty, New Zealand – A short distance from Auckland, this area is one of New Zealand’s most popular holiday destinations. For relaxation, beach life, a bit of indulgence and meeting the locals, the Bay of Plenty has all bases covered.

The Gold Coast, Australia - A short distance south of Brisbane, our unique location is on the Queensland/New South Wales border. With its famous beaches and a wide variety of amenities, Aussies prefer this area of the coast to enjoy their vacations.

The Sunshine Coast, Australia – Just north of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast offers pristine beaches, rainforests and national parks, and an array of activities popular with Aussies. They claim to be more laid back than the Gold Coast.

Central Coast, Australia - Just north of Sydney this beautiful area of beaches, lagoons, waterways and national parks is a popular residential area for Aussies, many of whom commute to the city – or city dwellers who want a short-distance vacation. Yes, you’ll live like an Aussie.

Rarotonga, Cook Islands – Within minutes from the airport, you will be enjoying the white sand, palm-fringed beaches and coral lagoons of this beautiful South Pacific paradise. But when your stay is over, it is the locals you will remember most. We recommend you attend a local church service.
