ERIN HUTCHINSON

AUSTRALIA & SOUTH PACIFIC

DESTINATION SPECIALIST

I have been a passionate traveler since my first trip to Ireland 20 years ago. Since then, I have traveled to more than 50 countries on six different continents, often traveling solo. I love discovering different cultures, exploring new landscapes, and going on new adventures. Of all the places I have traveled to, Australia and New Zealand hold a special place in my heart due to their geographical diversity, the wildlife, the amazing food, and the friendly people. With everything from mountains to beaches and from glaciers to rainforests, there is something here for everyone! I lived in Australia for six months and have traveled extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand. I take great pride in assisting Goway travelers and look forward to helping you discover the perfect combination of all that the South Pacific has to offer to create an unforgettable vacation.

My favourite places

  • Galapagos Islands

1000km off the mainland of Ecuador lie the Galapagos Islands. The remoteness and geographic isolation allowed the flora and fauna of the Galapagos to develop in a unique way, enabling the existence of giant tortoises, marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, and an array of other endemic species of plants and animals.

  • Australia

Australia has something for everyone: miles and miles of beaches, the vastness of the Nullarbor Plain, wine regions, rainforests, mountains, the incredible wildlife of Kangaroo Island, and, of course, majestic Uluru. Seeing kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and echidnas in the wildlife is a truly amazing experience.

  • Ireland

Ireland felt like home to me since my first visit. It is a land of rolling green hills dotted with sheep, quaint colorful villages, rugged coastlines, and friendly people. The food is also incredible! For a unique experience visit one of the three Aran Islands and plan an overnight stay if time permits.

  • Suez canal

The Suez Canal is a human-made waterway that connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea, making it the shortest maritime route from Europe to Asia. The Suez Canal is 193km long and just 205m wide. Sailing this waterway was a bucket list trip for me. I found watching the activities of life on the Suez fascinating.

Did you know?

  • Great Barrier Reef has 600 types of hard and soft coral and is made up of nearly 3,000 individual reefs.
  • From the tiny village of Doolin, Ireland, you can hike 8km uphill to the top of the Cliffs of Moher.
  • Galapagos Islands are famous for having a wealth of unique plants and animals found nowhere else in the world.
  • Always carry snacks when traveling. This can be a life and money saver when travel plans get delayed!
