JOSIE PILEGGI

UK EUROPE

DESTINATION SPECIALIST

Ever since I was a child, I've had this urge to explore the world, which was foreign to my Italian parents growing up. They emigrated to Toronto, Canada at a young age and were perfectly content with staying put in Canada. This wasn't for me though. Straight after high school I decided to study travel and tourism at a local college, which my mother also did not approve of. This was only the start of my travel adventures. Travelling puts me at ease and makes me really happy. There is nothing more fulfilling than exploring an unfamiliar place, embracing a different culture, meeting new people, and trying exotic cuisines from around the world. My travelling adventures have only just begun and I look forward to having many more in the near future.

My favourite places

  • Rome

    Europe

There's something about the energy and liveliness of Rome that excites me. With loads of history, beautiful architecture, incredible food, and great shopping, the eternal city has it all. It impresses me every time I see it.

  • Dublin

    Europe

With its many pubs, clubs, and thriving music scene, there is much to see and experience. The locals are also super friendly and very chatty, making you feel right at home.

  • Berlin

    Europe

When I visited Berlin for the first time it simply blew me away. This large, ever-changing city has so much to offer and should definitely be on your bucket list.

  • Barcelona

    Europe

With its busy beaches, beautiful architecture, warm weather, history, transportation, and food, there is so much to see here that will make you want to return again and again.

Did you know?

  • Take a hop-on hop-off tour in each city not only to familiarize yourself with the destination, but to use as a source of transportation to get around.
  • Did you know that the Guinness Storehouse is Ireland's most popular tourist attraction? Be sure to pre-book your tickets.
  • Seat reservations are mandatory for highspeed trains in Italy so be sure to book them in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • Be aware of afternoon closures when travelling in Europe. Europeans value their lunch breaks and midday meals, so you may find a ticket office or post closed from noon until 2pm.
