The CHEDI Muscat is located on the beach twenty kilometres north of Muscat city centre. Its position gives it easy access to the city and also the airport which is ten minutes away by taxi. As well as the facilities in the hotel, Muscat City has a large number of traditional shops and a Souk in Muttrah as well as several modern shopping malls. There are many interesting locations near to the hotel including the old port, historic forts and the Natural History Museum. For sport there is also the Bandar Al Rowdha Marina nearby which offers a range of water sports together with activities such as dolphin watching.
The CHEDI Muscat is a resort hotel set in formal gardens with its own private beach. The hotel is arranged over three floors with accommodation on all floors. There are also 36 Chedi Club Suites which are separate from the main building and located in the gardens. The open plan lobby extends from the main entrance and includes a large canopied area in the style of a Bedouin tent. To the right of the lobby is the main international restaurant and on the left is the boutique. At the rear of the hotel is the lobby lounge which has views over the gardens to the ocean and the private beach is 150 metres from the rear exit. In the gardens on the right is the family swimming pool and poolside cabana and to the left approx 100 metres away is the adult swimming pool and poolside cabana together with the fitness centre. The Spa is located to the left of the lobby beyond the boutique and the tennis courts are at the front of the hotel.

Half Day Muscat City Tour by Private Vehicle
Muscat offer the visitor a unique opportunity to witness a modern commercial centre existing in harmony with its traditional culture. With its natural harbour, Muscat means "Anchorage" and lies in a natural volcanic bowl. Your tour of the Grand Mosque (except Friday) and Bait Al Zubair Museum (except Friday) is a brief introduction that traces Oman's history and development. ACCOMMODATION:
For those who want to relax in style, in a setting that has been meticulously designed to be part Philippe Starck, part Lawrence of Arabia, the Chedi Muscat is brilliant.
The 'Club Suites' are spacious, white-painted bungalows or villas, spaced out among the palms and splashing fountains. Interiors are equally impressive. Some of the suites come with silver-painted cupolas above the sultan-size beds; all have black marble sunken baths, Bose hi-fi system, satellite TV and fresh plates of fruit and Arabic pastries daily.
The laundry service is complimentary and, unusually for a Muslim country, so is the minibar. A vast room-service breakfast is delivered to your room any time till noon.
FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:
The designer Jean-Michel Gathy brings European-style minimalism, and blends it with some authentic Omani architecture – rooms are spare and supremely calm, with plenty of negative space, and public areas are a sort of Arabic Zen, with archways and reflecting pools amongst the nods to the local style. The hotel's setting is no less sublime, on the Gulf of Oman, with views of the Gulf, the Indian Ocean beyond, or the rugged mountains of Muscat.
Luxuries include a well-equipped spa and fitness center, tennis courts, two swimming pools (including the adults-only Chedi Pool), a thousand-foot private beach, and a library, which
functions as a Club Lounge for the exclusive use of Chedi Club Suite guests.
The restaurant, in a certain gesture of faux-humility, is simply called The Restaurant – and in a city not necessarily known for hip, upscale eateries, its Asian and Mediterranean blend has been a hit.
Jeep tours, dolphin-watching, and sightseeing tours of Oman's landmarks can be arranged by the staff – though be warned, it may be difficult to tear yourself away from such a uniquely calming and restful enclave.
