Cook Islands at leisure

You are free to enjoy your new ‘home’ for the next 12 days at your leisure! Explore the island of Rarotonga at your own pace

The Cook Islands could be the best kept secret in the South Pacific when it comes to a truly natural (not manufactured) paradise. Located north east of New Zealand, it consists of 15 islands formed by volcanic activity, each one with its own individual character.

Three Day Tours have been included in your adventure. These can be taken at anytime  during your stay but must be prebooked.

Circle Island Tour;

Start your holiday with an orientated cultural circle island tour of Rarotonga.  Be enlightened with a qualified tour guide sharing the local history and culture of Rarotonga as you journey around the island in an air-conditioned sightseeing coach.

Captain Tama's Lagoon Cruise;

Tour the inner lagoon of Rarotonga in a glass bottom boat, to coral viewing and snorkeling areas, followed by a BBQ fish lunch on Koromiri Island in Muri lagoon. The Tour Guides will entertain you during lunch with a pareu tying demonstration and some of the local traditions.

Aitutaki Day Tour;

Your tour begins with a scenic 45 minute flight across to Aitutaki. Upon arrival you will meet with your guide and taken on a tour of the island, visiting the main township of Arutanga, the marketplace and the inland villages of Tautu and Vaipae. Then it's on to the pier to board your 71 foot traditionally designed catamaran, Titi Ai Tonga. The slow cruise across the lagoon to the top reef will take you past many of the offshore motus and sand bars that are permanently raised above the high tide mark. At the top reef, everyone gets a chance to snorkel amongst schools of tropical fish and hand feeding them is a lot of fun. Lunch is served on the vessel as you take a slow cruise to One Foot Island, where for a few hours, you can swim in crystal clear waters, explore the island or just laze in the sun on the soft white sand beached, before returning to the mainland for your flight back to Rarotonga.
